Penggolongan Al Quran Berdasarkan Jumlah ayat

Dari segi jumlah ayat, surah-surah yang ada di dalam Al-Qur’an terbagi menjadi empat bagian :

1. As Sab’uththiwaal (tujuh surah yang panjang) yakni surah Al-Baqarah, Ali Imran, An-Nisaa’, Al-A’raaf, Al-An’aam, Al Maa-idah dan Yunus.
2. Al Miuun (seratus ayat lebih), seperti Syu’ara, Hud, Yusuf, Al-Mu’min, As-Saffat, Ta Ha, An-Nahl, Al-Anbiya, Al-Isra dan Al-Kahfi.
3. Al Matsaani (kurang sedikit dari seratus ayat), seperti Al-Anfaal, Al-Hijr. Maryam, Al-Waqi’ah, An-Naml, Az-Zukhruf, Al-Qasas, Shaad, Al-Mu’minun, Yasin dan sebagainya.
4. Al Mufashshal (surah-surah singkat), seperti Adh-Dhuha, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas dan sebagainya0
